Taxis are readily available on Higashioji-dori, just a minute from BenTen, and our concierge can arrange one for your departure. Private airport transfers from Kansai International Airport or Itami Airport can also be arranged in advance of your arrival.

In the neighbourhood

Everyday Kyoto, close by.

Despite BenTen's quiet historic setting, everyday essentials are within easy reach. Pick up groceries at Fresco Higashiyama Yasui or the neighbourhood supermarket Happy Rokuhara, and everyday necessities at 7-Eleven — Kyoto Higashiyama Yasui. Sugi Pharmacy Higashiyama Yasui Store is also nearby for pharmacy and personal-care needs.

Higashiyama and neighbouring Gion are particularly rewarding for dining. Close to BenTen are Hachiraku, almost on the same street, and Gion Loka. For a celebrated Kyoto dining experience, Gion Sasaki is also in the neighbourhood; it is listed with three Michelin stars in the 2026 guide.
